Capn Dan and Ruby's StJ/Lovango - day 6 (Lovango soon come)
This is the day we opted to get stuff done.
It started out rainy, but cleared up and even got warm during the day. We went over to the Donkey Diner for breakfast forgetting they were closed so we came back and went to Jakes.
If you are a lumberjack or a teenage boy the portions are just right! But the food was really good. I got the breakfast sandwich on an English muffin and they grill the muffin. Capn Dan said that his bacon eggs and toast was real tasty as well. As we were waiting on our food VI on my mind and the Mrs. drove up. It’s like we have radar or magnets or something…

VIOMM and the Mrs.

Back to CV1 to get our laundry and on to the laundry mat. This is our first time without an in-house laundry and I do so miss it!
(Even Maho has machines on the property) First it was fourteen dollars to wash and dry 2 loads of cloths, and we had our own detergent, (By the way those 2 in one sheets with soap and fabric softener work great and they are easy to pack. One pack does 2 loads) then you have to wait for the washer (about 30 min) and it takes an hour for the stuff to dry.
Cutie Patuti being entertained by Dad:

The attendant on duty was very nice, so we left our stuff there and went down town to purchace hook bracelets for my niece and her friend for graduation presents. By the way Bamboo engraves! It was only $20 for 20 characters. SCORE!
Greyhoundmom and graduates are going to pick them up when they come in. I wish I could be a fly on the wall when they get them! (Just a note: Greyhoundmom set up the surprise really well, and said that there were lots of squeals and tears of joy when the girls realized that the bracelets were theirs!) We ate lunch at High Tide… Love their fish tacos and onion rings!

Dinner Partner:

Back to the laundry mat… the cloths are not quite ready, so we talked to the attendant. Talking is what I do best! She was real nice and we talked about her son who was out of school that day with a bit of a breathing problem. We then went to look for t-shirts to take back. I found a cute one for the grandson at Mongoose and saw Pat and Mr. Pat shopping for soon to be grandchild. I found some at Captain’s Quarters, but we were having trouble with one person on the list. So we went up to STJ Spice to look and hopefully get to talk to Ruth. Scored on both accounts! Hi Ruth! Capn Dan wanted to make one last trip to Coral Bay, so we stopped by Skinny’s to look at their shirts and found just what we needed to finish out the t-shirt quest. On our way back to Cruz Bay we took some pictures of the locals

then went on to Cruz Bay and gassed up the car,

and back to CV1 for showers, packing up, and drinks with Collett. What a day! Lovango here we come. (I said a prayer for the rain to stop. I know it was selfish, but I hated to have my once in a life time trip spoiled by rain! Me worrying agian...gotta stop that!!!
!!! More to come on that!)
