I'm packed, now what?

Post by Coden »

Seriously, I'm packed, and I have my travel clothes hung up on a hook in the spare bedroom. :D

I asked my hubby if he wanted me to help him with his packing, he said he thought he could get it done in the next month.

Congrats, I usually end up packing until about 3 am the day we leave...it's rather miserable.

Teresa - since we have to leave home around 3:45 am on our flight day, I probably should have done that. LOL

I can relate. A first for me is a checked bag, just because there will be 12 of us. All the suncreen/aloe/cortizone/ABT/shampoos/etc in the checked bag, plus my favorite pillow and walking poles. The bags are laid out in my spare room and putting things in as I go along. :) Laura

LauraD - I would have to have a checked bag for all of the lotions/sprays, etc for 12 people, that must be an insane amount of product. It is bad enough for 2. Wow!!

Have fun on island!! :D

Coden - I am only a week away and I have alot of packing to do. Usually I am done by now. My son just informed me that his baseball coach just texted and his game is off for tomorrow but rescheduled for Wednesday the day we leave for the airport - ugh. Now we have to decide if we want to leave after his game. I think I will hope for rain and then it will get cancelled. Seriously, since no game tomorrow I should hopefully finish my packing.

Question for you all how many bottles of sunscreen do you use in 9 days for 4 people??????

LauraD... I know you have heard nightmares about mailing a box, but get a flat rate box (or 2) and mail it. Use correct mailing instructions, put a trace on it, and insure it. Def. worth not having to deal with checked luggage. We have mailed boxes 3 of our 4 visits and have not had a problem. Be sure that you register with Connections before sending the box. :) 12 people  Oh my!!!!

Dude...we leave tomorrow (well technically today-spending the night at in-laws who are bringing us to BOS and watching the girls) and I still have a few things to put into the bags still 8)

Now the funny (sort of, I guess) thing is that my 4 year old could not nap yesterday (she really needed it too!) because she was worried about when she was going to pack! She's kinda high-strung  and also worries about "what she's going to do tomorrow" constantly. I perpetually feel like Julie the cruise director on The Love Boat.

Don't forget to leave room for all the chargers that go with the electronics!
