Been a LONG time coming baby!

Post by chrisn »

At LONG LONG last! Thanks to everyone who offered villa recommendations! Amarilla wins...booked through Windspree. First time staying in Coral Bay. REALLY excited! I have requested the week starting 7/1/12. The reservation will be held then booked on the 1st. This is a couple weeks later than we usually go. Carnival and the 4th will be fun! I am so thrilled right now...you have no idea! :D

P.S. Ticker direction corrected! Now...how to get it to single digits!

We're debating a trip at that time next year. Is Carnival fun or just a headache? We'll have a 9 month old and a 2.5 year old. Might the toddler find the parades, etc fun? Our 10th anniversary is on 6/29, so we're looking at going maybe the 28th - 8th or something like that.

We did Carnival twice.

The first time was pre-kid and we watched the entire parade. It was a very, very long, very crowded, very hot day.

The one thing that would deter me from taking our now 6 yo is that you are sort of trapped in town because you can't get out becasue the main streets are blocked off.

Would a toddler like it? I don't know. The costumes are bright and colorful. Some of the tractor-trailer
"bands" were nothing but bass so loud it rattled my lungs. It was also very crowded and that might add an element of stress.

Last year we missed the parade but did go into town in the evenings and it was fun. Our son loved the kid's carnival area.
