Anyone fly from Kansas City?
If so, which Airline do you use? Also, which city is best to connect through? We are leaning toward Charlotte, NC. We are looking at booking our flights for next May in the next week or so. Want to make sure that we make the correct choice.
I do, I do - actually flew back home to St John from KC yesterday and I am usually in KC at least 4 times per year.
Best airline is Delta then USAir and last AA only because they have 2 stops (Chicago or Dallas, Miami then St Thomas) vs 1 on the others - Delta (Atlanta) or USAirways (Charlotte) Unfortunately I have *status* on AA or I would fly Delta as my number 1 choice and actually will be flying back to KC in 9 days on Delta
The only problem is Delta is usually the most expensive so if USAirways comes in a lot cheaper I would fly them instead.

My Husband found a flight on Continental. It would be flying into Newark. If we flew in the night before and stayed in Newark for a night it is cheaper. Then the next day we would fly direct to St.Thomas and arrive at 11:37am. Getting us there much earlier than the other flights and saving some money too even with the Hotel and Dinner for the night. But Newark is a very busy airport.
Would you take a chance flying through Newark if you will stay the night instead of connecting directly? On the return flight we would not stay in Newark we would just get the connecting flight home to KC.

I fly from KC. Delta has the best itineraries right now. You can find tickets around $600 if you catch them on the right day. Flight leaves at 5:50 am but you are on STT by 1:50 pm. Earliest arrival time of any I have ever found.
USAir used to have really good itineraries, but their weekend flights all seem to have red eye overnight legs getting back. No thanks. Plus, they've been crazy expensive every time I've checked.
I've never tried AA or Continental because of 2 layovers. My pick right now is Delta hands down.
