Fin recomendation

Post by nancyr84 »

Can anyone suggest a good pair of comfortable fins? I bought a long pair a few years ago and have not really used them. They are a very hard plastic and are so uncomfortable to wear. I usually snorkle without them but thought I would try again to get used to them.

Ours are something like this, by Tusa. Also, are you wearing booties with your fins? For me, booties are a must.

My fins are quite comfortable but if I get any amount of sand inside of them I develop blisters. Last year I bought a pair of latex "socks" designed to wear with fins. They prevent blisters and help to keep your feet a little warmer if you're prone to getting cold. They're very thin so there's no problem fitting them in your fins. Maybe just a small amount of cushioning would help. I bought mine from a dive website for less than $8.
