Surgery and Adoption update

Post by Nic in KC »

Hi guys,

Thanks so much for the prayers yesterday! My dad came through surgery fine. They removed one lymph node and said it looks normal. Hopefully that's a good thing! We'll get the results on 5/31.

We have a c-section date for the baby of 6/13 which just happens to be my dad's birthday! We hope it will be a great day to celebrate for many years to come!

Continued positive thoughts and prayers are appreciated. We are hopeful on all fronts, but seriously, I may need to pick a different rum drink for every day until court happens for the baby! :-)

Thanks!
Nic

I am so happy for you, and hope that everything works out well for your Dad. A month from now, hopefully you will have so much to be thankful for.

Congratulations with the good news.

Have to tell that I laughed of my self concerning your baby arrival. In the moment I read what you had written about "a new rum drink every day" my first thought was:

How can she do that expecting a new baby, doesn't she know it's not healthy for the baby.

I of course knew that it was an adoption, but had forgotten the difference :D .

Linne you make me laugh! I had a similar experience when we brought home a baby last fall. That baby didn't end up being ours, but I was driving home one day thinking about how I needed to get my hair highlighted and how long it had been. I thought to myself, "well, you've been pregnant, you couldn't get your hair highlighted". I hadn't been pregnant at all, but I forgot, because I had a baby riding in my back seat! :-)

Thanks everyone for the well wishes and continued prayers!
