Mid Life Crisis part #3

Post by parafins »

At this point i'm heading off to Jost via the ferry.{May 3rd.}I think I left around 9:00 a.m.I spent most of the day on White Bay hanging out at the Soggy Dollar.I love that bar!I had 1 painkiller which cost about $6.00.I don't drink very often, and never go to bars back at home,so $6.00 seemed a bit pricey for me.Don't get me wrong it was very good, but i'm cheap!Lunch at Soggy's was out of this world good!!Here's a pic-sorry that I took a bite out of it! ImageThe cold salad on the side {omg}how do they make this?Your looking at a $12.00 meal/Coke which I thought was in reasonable. As far as Jost goes,I was on island too long 9-4.I'm not a hang out on the beach guy,i'm a one horn but fish guy.2 hours on Jost would have been perfect.I also burned the top of my feet there.I forgot to put sunscreen on them!

Sounds like your feet took a beating this trip, parafins! I am enjoying your report so far, keep them coming!
It's like looking in your soup and finding a whole different alphabet.

Sounds like a wonderful day to me, save for the burned feet. And, on top of the blisters, this is proving to be a painful start of your mid-life crisis. I hope rest of it goes more smoothly and pain free.

Loving the trip reports! I have had a sunburn on my feet before & I know it is painful. However, I did not have blisters at the same time (ouch)!

I love an entire day with more than one painkiller at Soggy Dollar! :-)

That pasta salad they serve as a side dish is my favorite!

Oh no, not the feet. Last year, I got a big blister on the top of one foot from my fins. Hurt like hell when sand got in there too. Had to resort to wearing socks with my fins and that was only a slight improvement. Hope the feet are improving!
