Rain

Post by kristen1206 »

Any rain on St. John today or just big black passing clouds? Now that vacay is close I am glued to the webcams :) Looks like STT may have gotten some. I see some clearing on the Serendipity cam.

Yep. Really dark on the Amorosa cam too. Yesterday it was cloudy most of the day on the Serendipity cam but sun was shining on Spice, soggy dollar and Amorosa.

The webcams are excellent sources but really only face in the direction they are aimed and that is somewhat limiting ----- try the NEXRAD SJU radar for a wider and overall real time view as well.
There are some very heavy low clouds but not much rain yet in the STT-STJ area.

It's been a bit rainy today, and pretty much grey all day. But the rain is scattered and moving so it's not hampering anything! It's all good...no worries! :D

We spent about 30 minutes today huddled under one of the picnic shelters at Hawksnest. It was an all out downpour. By the time it let up a little everyone ran for their cars. Amazingly enough, once the showers moved on a whole new group packed the beach in a matter of minutes. We stayed around for a while then decided to head back to Fish Bay. Hadn't rained yet in Fish Bay...but then we showed up and the rain followed.
