Rendezview villa
Would like to know if anyone may have any updated info regarding Rendezview villa on Hart Bay?
Not that familiar with this area and wonder how the drive from Cruz Bay may be, as well as how far away.
Looking for a very convenient villa for approx 6-8 girls within walking distance, or VERY short drive, to Cruz Bay. Oh, would have to be either Kings or twins for the beds.
Appreciate any & all suggestions!!
Thanks in advance!
Kathy

Hiya EZ. Thanks, yeah I was thinking we would need 2 vehicles too, mostly for luggage with 6-8 girls

If the drive is not "too challenging" I am okay with it.
Last villa we stayed at on STJ was on Gifft Hill and I was too chicken to do any driving there, lol !! Better get over it and practice during my visit this May.

Hi Betty. Thanks for your advice. Grande Bay is definitely on my radar. Have you stayed there before? I love the look of Rendezview and it appears it has everything we would need. How challenging is the driveway or drive there, generally speaking? How long ago did you stay at Rendezview?Betty wrote:I would recommend Grande Bay, either two 2 bedrooms or a 3 bedroom, you can find them on VRBO if you want to walk into to town. We have stayed at Rendezview, it is a lovely villa. but a good 12-15 minute drive, You can get cab service to the villa, but I thi nk you would be happier at Grande Bay
Thanks!

Kathy
Kathy...I say go for it! We stayed on Hart Bay once and the drive was easy....part of the adventure every day!!! Remember, nothing is that far away since the island is so small!!! Driving is part of the fun and I think a villa for a group of women is the way to go...how much fun will that be? Rendezview looks amazing...you'll have a blast, I just know it

all you have to do is smile, smile, smile

We stayed at Rendezview Feb 2008. Very nice villa. Driveway was not a problem. One thing I remember was the wind coming off Hart Bay. We could not use the beautiful decks because it was so windy. Also, the villa gets morning sun so the pool was never very warm. Combined with the wind, we never stepped foot in the pool. It was an easy drive to Cruz Bay, less than 15 minutes.
Rendezview is lovely, the drive and driveway are easy to get too and cabs can get to it. Most people in our group found the pool too cold in January. We stayed at Rendezview 3 years ago. It is about a 12 minute drive to Cruz Bay from Rendezview.
I live at Grande Bay in a long term rental while we are building our house. I love it!!
I love being able to walk to town, not worry about drinking and driving. When you stay at Grande Bay you really don't even need a car. You can walk to Dolphin Market, take cabs to the beaches. The pool and hot tub are rarely used so it is almost private. They have an exercise room, free internet, a computer down in the office you can use, and free phone service. For convenience sake and a group of 6-8 woman who might not want to do the same thing at all times, I think Grande Bay is excellent. I will miss the convenience when we finish our house!

Thanks sooo much for your excellent points Betty. I agree fully with your thoughts on 6-8 ladies may not want to do the same thing. Plus, how convenient to just take a stroll into town as needed. Really have to weigh my pros n' cons I guess.Betty wrote:Rendezview is lovely, the drive and driveway are easy to get too and cabs can get to it.
