Dinner on STT

Post by M »

We plan on taking a ferry to STT one day to shop/dine. Any recommendations for dinner? Thanx!

If you are shopping Frenchtown is close by downtown and since the stores close at 5pm an easy walk to one of the best restaurant areas for dinner.
Hook,Line and Sinker
Bella Blu
Craig and Sallys
Oceana
are all owner operated, walkable, and popular for dinner in Frenchtown
The Banana Tree grill is up on the Bluebeards property and has a wonderful sunset view and a good place to watch the cruise ships leave the harbor -- very good food too.
If you are all the way back in Red Hook by dinner there are numerous choices all within a 5 min. walk to the ferry.

We liked Hook, Line and Sinker in French Town. Parking can be a little tight in French Town. At Point Pleasant we went to Fungi's on the beach. Your table is just feet from the water at Fungi's.

Robert's American Grille is excellent and located at the Elysian Resort next to The Ritz-Carlton. It is a short ride from Red Hook and a few feet from the beach.

We also love Banana Tree Grille located at Bluebeard's Castle with a great harbor view. This is perhaps our favorite in St. Thomas.

Havana Blue is awesome. The sea bass is amazing and the atmosphere is one of the coolest I've ever experienced.

My newest favorite is Grand Cru in Yacht Haven. It is Patricia Lacorte's latest venture and is fabulous. They serve lunch and dinner and you can sit outside and gawk at the yachts or inside and enjoy air conditioning. Her moules and frites are like being in Provence.

That is a name I have not heard in years. I wondered if it was still there. That was my all time favorite on STT, with Craig and Sally's not far behind.

I agree, that if you are planning to shop downtown, then go over to Frenchtown and pick any one of the great restaurants in that area. Here are a few:

If you are staying in the Red Hook area to shop, then I suggest Pesce (East End Cafe). I ate there last night and it was excellent.
