family vacation 2011 - part 2
family vacation 2011 - part 2
2/28 - Daughter #3, GF and I headed into Cruz Bay to do a bit of souvenir shopping
We got there early and found parking. It was pretty quiet so we got our errands done quickly. We hit St. John Spice the first of several times, a few other places finishing at Bones
Back to the house (it was nice being 10 minutes to "town") for lunch and ready for Francis Bay. We decided to eat at the house so we got to Francis around 1. We were able to drop everyone off and find parking at a reasonable distance. We headed to the left and set up right by the rocks which gave us shade for the baby and my husband
We set up and settled in for a few hours. The snorkeling was pretty good - especially since it was our first time out this trip. The water was so warm and calm and easy to enter. I walked the boardwalk and it is pretty nice. It is a great way to get to "north beach" which is all the way to the right and you don't have walk through the sand. The bugs started so we packed up - just as we were getting into the cars it started raining- hard - talk about timing. We headed back to the house around 4 - it was daughter #1's night to make dinner - there are a lot of good cooks in our family
- another evening of sitting on the patio playing cards and having fun!
3/1 - Today was going to be a villa day - SILs went to Waterlemon Cay for a snorkle early am and had a great time. They saw lots of fish and there was no one there. After a quick run to town for provisions we hung out by the pool and hot tub (and blender) and let villa gravity set in. It was very relaxing and fun spending time with our children. Today was daughter # 3's turn to make dineer - notice how it hasn't been my turn yet
- another evening on the patio playing cards and visiting. Tomorrow we are heading to Vie's for lunch and some time on the beach. Later...

Francis Bay 'boardwalk'?
I've never seen this. Where exactly does it go? Anyone have it in a photo?
Thanks.
Thanks.
