Fuel Surcharge

Post by theshopper3 »

Not sure how this is added in the US or how much it goes up,I realize it all depends on the price of oil.

So this may be more geared to my Canadian counter parts, since our air carriers like to shaft us with fees:):)

I am looking at booking a flight to Roatan( Honduras) for Feb 28, I have been watching the flights for the last two months & in general the fair drops by a great deal the Wed/Thurs before the flight, of course that is if there are still seats available. I have Been calling the airlines & there is still at least 12 seats left.
Well I noticed that Sunwing & some other airlines has just announced they are adding a Fuel Surcharge to all flights & vacations within Canada & the US effective Tues Feb 22/23.....
Do any of you have a ball park figure of how much this might be???

Do I take a chance & hold off or do I bite the bullet & book before they add the new surcharge.

All this stress just to book a flight:):

Thanks
