Care Packages to the Military

Post by Tracy in WI »

Hi Gang -

It's that time again! Through my church, I head up a group that hosts a collection drive and then sends care packages to the men and women serving us in Iraq and Afghanistan. We typically send two to three boxes per person about four times a year.

Do you know someone overseas who could use a show of support from back home? If so, PM me with their name and mailing address and I will happily add them to my mailing list.

Boxes will be going out in early March.

We did that when my cousin was in Iraq. One of the things we learned is that chocolate melts over there. The alternative of choice is Oreo cookies. It's the only chocolate that will not melt.

Good luck with the program.

I don't know anyone you can send a package to, but I'd be happy to donate something small that you need a bunch of and will fit into a med. flat rate box. Gum, playing cards, etc. :D
