Villa help for honeymoon couple

Post by Lindy »

My husband works with someone who is looking to take their first trip to St. John for their honeymoon in August. I've been trying to help a little with choosing a villa without much luck so far. I've suggested that they stay more towards the Cruz Bay end of the island since they are the type who like to eat out rather than cook for themselves. The Love Shack is too isolated, Peter Bay gatehouse isn't private enough (their perception - not mine). Splendore is a possibility for them based on prior reviews. Does anyone have any suggestions that I could pass along? They seem to be in the $2500 to $3000 price range and would like A/C and a pool if possible....private, but not too isolated. They haven't requested it, but I think they should have a gorgeous view too.

Help me out here Forumites!!! Thanks everyone!

Good luck!

Private villa for honeymoon

Post by lmeitzler »

Try "Island Dreams"...look it up under www.bookitvi.com 1 bedroom villas. My husband and I are here right now and the views are amazing. Many great restaurants in Coral Bay only a short drive away (maybe 5 minutes). Very private sunning area at the pool and totally air conditioned (important in August). Some restaurants island-wide will be closed at that time of year, but Christy at bookitvi can let you know. She's an STJ girl and knows everything there is to know. Good Luck

check out Far Niente

check out Far Niente listed on www.vivacations.com. We have stayed lots of places on STJ, and Far Niente was our favorite. It has great privacy, is very quiet, yet is only a short ride into town on all paved roads. Nice view from balconies and the pool deck, which is very large. Very well kept up too. Feel free to PM me with any questions.

I would suggest Perelandra:

It's just a couple minute drive to Cruz Bay, but still VERY private (pool area is bathing suit optional!). Amazing views, great amenities, and super convenient location.

We've stayed there twice. PM me if you have any specific questions or want more photos.

No problem-o, dude!
I can't wait for our dinghy day! Praying I have a "base coat tan", so's I don't get broiled alive...
New meaning to "where the sun don't shine..."
It'll be shining everywhere bro! 8)
