Shops Open when no Cruise Ships?

Post by vi lover »

One schedule I saw shows no cruise ships scheduled in STT for Saturday Feb 12. If true, will Havensight or Downtown merchants be open regular hours?

Maybe a dumb question, but thought I'd ask anyway...

They should be open on a Saturday. I would think that if it were a Sunday and no ships were in that most shops would be closed. We always go over shopping on STT on a non-cruise ship day to avoid crowds. Enjoy

From what I remember, many will be closed. I believe that most of Havensite does not open when there are no ships in and many of the smaller downtown shops are closed as well. The larger stores, little switzerland, columbian emeralds, etc should be open downtown. I seem to remember the vendors plaza was pretty sparse too.

It has been a few years since I was there on a non-ship day, so this may have changed

I think we'll plan to just head downtown. We normally shop at Havensite on our last day since we have a late afternoon flight home. It's really convenient.

We're bringing a "newbie" couple with us and I think they'd appreciate the downtown shopping scene anyway - it is a unique experience!

Thanks for the replies - and HAVE FUN at Trunk Sharkbait!
