Bay House Question

Post by cat »

Hi guys,

It's been a while but we are again planning a trip to St John and we are looking at Bay House through Caribbean Days. Does anyone have any info on this one?

How is Caribbean Days to work with?

We stayed there in 2009....loved it! Great decks...nice view...kids loved the pool. Kitchen was sort of "old" but functional. AC in the bedrooms which are downstairs. Laundry outside under one of the decks...sort of off the bedrooms (it's in like a built in shed type thing). No problems! Matter of fact...when the tv wasn't working (which my daughter was NOT happy about)...a rep from Love City Villas came right over and fixed it!

Great thank you! We are travelling with our 17year old daughter and I thought being close to things would be best for her but I still wanted a view.

Our favorite beach is Maho and Island Blues is our choice for most lunches.

We are very excited to be staying in the Coral Bay area this trip!

We stayed there in December, but booked thru www.greatcaribbeangetaways.com and got a great discounted rate for early December! The house is small, but functional and the deck and view are definitely the best part. As reported in my trip report, the furnishings and kitchenware are in drastic need of replacement IMO and I am not a picky person. The bedrooms were comfy and the a/c worked great. The convenience of being able to walk down the hill to Lily's, Island Blues and Aqua Bistro was another plus!

I think Seabiscuit and Rhumb Runners are in the same area with similar floorplans if Bay House doesn't work out. I haven't stayed at any, but they've been on my list because the bedrooms are close together, which is a plus when traveling with kids.

Stayed next door at Seabiscuit.
As told by other folks,- GREAT LOCATION!
You get what you pay for, and that's not a complaint...
Good price, pool, AC, bbq grill, really groovy access as far as everything you'd need in Coral Bay. Great spots to hit for breakfast, lunch, appetizers, dinner, live entertainment, and also nice ambience listening to the faint sounds of the island jams in the background at night. Roughly 10 minutes to/from Maho & Francis beaches, and you can hit Lily's Mini Mart, Aqua Bistro, and the deli in Coccaloba on the way to & from the gorgeous North Shore beaches for supplies. Skinny Leg's is also right around the corner, just past the Donkey Diner as you travel towards the East End beaches & sights.
Or make a right turn towards Shipwreck Landing & Sweet Plantains restaurants.
Great food, everywhere!!!
I also think that Bayhouse has better sunshine on the pool than Seabiscuit, so there's that, too.
We usually cook a lot at the villa, but always remember to hit our favorite local hot-spots.
Smiles-
MJ
