Uncle Joe's Has A Sign!

Post by Tracy in WI »

Not sure if this was already discussed, but Uncle Joe's BBQ now has a sign, a freshly painted seating area with what appears to be more tables and white holiday lights!

It looks very nice and very inviting - I'll try to get a picture tomorrow.

A sign, imagine that. Doesn't look like the lack of signage has hurt Uncle Joe's business in the past although I admit my first trip to STJ I didn't eat there because I wasn't quite so certain as to what the heck the place was. By the 2nd trip, I clued in. Looking forward to the photo.

I didn't think Uncle Joe's needed a sign...I just followed my nose! :D Who could resist that wonderful, mouth-watering smell!
Friends, they go away then they re-appear...I believe there is Magic here.

It's funny, I have sat in the kiosk and had probably 4 different couples/groups ask for directions and when I see them a few hours later and I ask how it was they reply with "we couldn't find it" always makes me wonder how they managed to actually find STJ from the STT airport :)

Joe's was the only place we ate at more than once on our last trip.

There's already a wait for their belly filling deliciousness, every time we order to eat in, or to go... Their sides are succulent too, and the time "limin'" sitting on the corner waiting for your order makes it so much more worth it...sitting in the sun, smelling the aromas in the air, Island Time, suckin' on a cold drink, knowin' that in time, I'll get my Uncle Joe's...
It's just really good food. When they run out of food, they close...
Funny- I've sat on the plastic chairs waiting for my meals, and shared glances with folks arriving & departing the island. They had no idea what I was doing, sitting, basically, in a parking lot on a corner.
Down With The Sign!!!
Just kidding,- they're on the verge of more success than they could imagine.
I'm happy as hell for them, as long as I can get my bbq...!
Smiles-

P.S.-
Still haven't tried Christy's. Looking forward to that...
And Shela's Pot, too! Walked past her @ a thousand times... It just seems like either never open, or too busy. I obviously have to wait longer for undoubtedly more delicious food... I can handle that...
Smiles-

All I know is that someone in West Virginia is getting really tired of answering the phone to "I'd like to place an order for ribs please" as the part of the phone number that is wrong is the area code - they have 304 not 340 :)
