Are you looking for a daytrip boat that goes to Spring Bay and/or the nearby Baths?

Both are fine as some of my family members have not been to VG at all. Would also like to go the The Indians as I have never snorkeled them and heard they are fantastic. Willing to pay for the 6-8 of us $3000.00 total, gas, boat, customs etc. Don't care to stop for lunch anywhere or shop. Is this reasonable for a half day trip? Thanks, Laura

For a daytrip, its too far to sail so you need to take a motorboat. These threads mention Palm Tree, Born to Rhumb, and Motor Yacht Cinnamon Bay.
Check out their capacities, itineraries, etc.
Hopefully others will chime in who have done a VG daytrip, or, consider PM-ing some of the good folks who posted on these threads.

If there are 8 of you it limits your options as many boats are what we call 6 pac (up to 6 passengers) There are a few that hold 8-10.

Your budget of $3,000 is more than enough but know if you do a private it will be for the full day but most 6 passenger boats are in the $525 to $625 range for the day (plus fuel approx $180 to VG and other stops, and plus customs)

There are a few boats that hold 8-10 and their daily rate will be in the $1,500 range

Depending on the time of year I can book Bad Kitty as a private and the rate after high season will be $145 pp with a minimum of 18 so still only $2610 for the full day on a fantastic boat that holds 34 so lots of space - during season the cost is $145 pp with a minimum of 24 so $3480.

Hope this gives you some options to think about.

I have used many of the different charter companies over the years and for a medium size group I've found Pirates Penny / Stormy Petrol to be the best value.

Although both boats can hold 16 passengers they only take 12 on one of the boats and 10 on the other. They charge $135 per person so you could charter the 10 passenger boat for $1350 and have the boat for the entire day going wherever you like. Your only other costs would be $30 per person for customs at Virgin Gorda, any food/drinks bought ashore, and whatever tip you decide to give the captain and mate.
