St John Weather

Post by Monkeynoclimb »

Great weather the past nine days. Highs about 80-82 and cool at night. No rain. We are above Coral Bay very high up on Bordeaux Mountain and the temperature has dropped to 69 a couple of nights. A few nights it was breezy which made it feel even colder. Really pretty watching the cruise ships leave Roadtown, Tortola all lit up on they way to the next port. You can see many areas were past weeks rainfall have done some real damage to roads and property.

We just got back. The Christmas Winds are definitely kicking. Near record lows reported for STT on The Weather Channel most of the week. Although, ahem, 71 really isn't the end of the world. It said the record was set in 1996 at 68 or 69 degrees, can't remember exactly. I would say it was one of our cooler trips, but so nice not to have a lot of humidity. All in all, we had nearly picture perfect weather all week and I don't even think there was a drop of rain which is probably good right now after all the rain the island had. It needs to dry out. You could definitely still see some evidence of all of the rain and storms.

Wow, getting a bit windy myself  . Must be the high that we are on just getting back tonight about an hour ago. That and as much as I love STJ, it is one loooong day for us to get there. I am over tired right now. That, and we were really happy to see our pets :D .
Going "home" again October 26th!
