PASSPORT DILEMMA…OH NO!

Post by spindrift »

I just realized my passport expires mid Jan. of 2011, and it’s too late to renew it for our late December trip. Do you think I’ll be denied entry on Jost for a planned Soggy Dollar visit?
Where might I be able to get an “official” answer?
I sort of remember a post now by Gromit saying you need an expiration date of at least six months prior to traveling to any foreign soil. Any help will be appreciated.

It is not too late to renew. Use an expediting service. I like A. Briggs. They flipped my bosses' passport back to me in a week.

Or, if you have one in your area, visit the passport office for a same day renewal. You need to be traveling within the next 30 days to get an appointment.
It's like looking in your soup and finding a whole different alphabet.

I renewed ours and paid the extra "expedite" fee and got it back in less than three weeks.

You could probably get away without the newer passport, but it might be a hassle.

It's a tough call. I hated paying the extra $70 to rush the damn thing but I felt better getting it done.
*Another fine scatterbrained production

I use CIBT all the time for work passport and visa issues. They can do expedited renewals and such. They always do a great job for me.
