Slightly OT- Car rental from Hotwire (not for the islands)

Post by Xislandgirl »

We are going to a wedding in Charleston in June and need to rent a car. I am really thinking about booking through Hotwire because their rates are so good. Has anyone booked through them? Any thoughts?

I recently used them for the first time to book for a trip to Orlando in a couple of weeks. The price was very right and several friends have recommended using hotwire for cars. Hopefully it'll work out well!

I am the queen of discount travel 8) and I have used Hotwire with great success in the past. What is even better though is Priceline.com. I usually check the Hotwire price, then go to Priceline check there prices and then go and bid 25%-50% less then the published rates. It will will work 8 times out of 10.
If they do not accept your bid, change the car class you want and try again or just pay the lowest price between Hotwire or Priceline.

I use them both for Hotels too, my daughter is a junior golfer and we are on the road a lot for tournaments and we save tons in travel expenses! Hotwire is good for hotels in St Thomas and the Westin St John too!

Have never tried for airfare as we are not usually flexible, and we always try to get a direct flight to every tournament so we do not lose her clubs
You know how wonderful USAir is with luggage
