Denis Bay

Post by BuffaloGal »

Last year when we were on St. John, we got talking to a bar tender at Morgan's Mango who told us his favorite beach was Denis Bay. We've never been to it. I was wondering what the trek is like from the Peace Hill trail. Is it comparable to the walk to/from Salomon. (We usually park at the top of the hill on Route 20 and walk down for that one.) Also, how is the snorkeling? Worth the hike?

Denis is a favorite of ours and it is worth the
hike. I think it takes about 10 at the most and it
is all downhill but I don't think hard. It can be
slippery in places if it has rained.
The times we have snorkeled around Perkins Cay it
was a little rough, and the snorkeling was OK.
This is just a good beach to sit, walk and relax
and watch the boats go by.

I liked Denis bay alot...it was quiet and had a beautiful view...not a stellar, wide. white beach but I liked it.

It's an easy walk up an down. And I'm not one to be an easy judge of easy. Great snorkeling between the rocks and the pier. Plus a pretty and empty beach.
