Does anyone have any information or opinions on this villa?

My friend stayed there a few years back and really enjoyed it. You get both sunrise and sunsets but I think I recall that the 3rd bedroom isn't equal.

I think I read somewhere that the 3rd bedroom was smaller than pictured but that all rooms had views and bathrooms. Just can't find much on this one but find it somewhat intriguing.

Just a thought... Colibri and Belvedere are right on the cliffs overlooking Pillsbury Sound and St. Thomas. I haven't been to Andante, but it looks so much further away from the edge of the water. I could be wrong about that, but part of the beauty of staying in one of those two villas is the drama of the location right above the water.

Hi, Shellee
We stayed there this summer(June,10) Great views!!!Very Nice!!! Make sure you rent a 4 wheel drive. The road up to the house is really rough. Small parking pad enough for two small jeeps. Air condition in bed rooms only but, the breeze of the ocean was great cooled off quick. Close to Star fish market and town. The walk down to the beach is farther than it looks and is also rough... Other wise, it was a great house, we throughly enjoyed it.

Kristen, the photos are wonderful!!! What a beautiful family. I couldn't help but look through the whole thing. The photos of Adante were wonderful but I think I like the more open ocean views of the Maria Bluff local although I am intrigued by the villas at Virgin Grande also. What to do??????? I also like the large pool since there will be 6 of us. Again, thanks for all your help. :D

I stayed at Andante 3 years ago...here are my thoughts:

Loved the location, view, breezes, hot tub and pool

Didn't love the fact that there is no outdoor shaded
living space...(just the pergola over the dining deck table)..too bright to sit out there in the am and too hot in the afternoon...it also made the living room extremely hot in the afternoon.

The downstairs bedroom is definitley not equal.

Parking was tricky though I would not not stay there for that reason.

After following your thread, sorry to say that I don't think this one will meet your needs

Lisa, I agree. I don't think it is what I am looking for. I really love the Maria Bluff location. It's just that I have this dream of standing in the pool and looking out over the ocean. That is what puts me off about Colibri as it has that heavy railing all around. Otherwise, I love it and I do LOVE the large pool. I love Belvedere too but just looks a little too small around the pool area. I just looked at South Shore villa and it is beautiful but I just don't think we want to be that far out for our first trip. I like the pool and open deck, all one level, at Vista Cielo but I just can't get a good handle on the location.
Anyway, I will be deciding soon. I'm really not as stressed out as I may seem on here!!! LOL. You are all so nice and helpful. WOW.

Have you looked at sherban's google maps showing all the villa locations? That may help you better picture the different locations. If you're headed to the north shore beaches (especially the more famous ones - Trunk, Cinnamon, Hawksnest), you'll want to go to them from the northshore road via Cruz Bay (past Caneel), rather than coming at them from the east (via Centerline). Nicer view and closer from the cruz bay side (IMO)

Both South Shore Villa and Vista Cielo are beautiful...Vista Cielo is above the Westin so it's pretty close to town....you have to remember that the island is small so nothing is very far away. We stayed in Coral Bay one year and getting to the beaches from there was no problem (my husband likes to drive and I enjoy the scenery and vistas so we don't mind 15-20 minutes of driving).

I really like a villa with everything on one level and that's hard to find. So Vista Cielo appeals to me.

South Shore Villa overlooks Fish Bay and though a little further than VC, it's still not that far! It also looks stunning.

I'd jump on one soon or it might be too late! As another poster said, try not to over think it...anywhere you go will be amazing 8)
