Easter Sunrise Service

Post by adkmts »

Does anyone know if there is an Easter Sunday Sunrise service? If so, is it Catholic?

If you will be on St. John, Here's the information I have for the Catholic Church. It looks like most of the renovations are done. They have one of my favorite St. John signs "Thou Shalt Not Park."

P.O. Box 241
Cruz Bay
St. John USVI 00831

I just called a friend of mine who is a parishoner at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, Catholic Church on STJ. She confirmed what I had thought. There is no sunrise service for OLMC but the Anglican Church does sponsor one. If you have never been to the Saturday vigil for Easter Sunday you might like to go. I believe that OLMC has it at 10pm at least they did in the past. It it a magnificent candlelight service. By the way, Father Crespo is off island and another priest is in charge until further notice.
