we packed food this time in a polar bear cooler, and our main reason was to save money. We can buy alot more food here for cost than we can buy there at the grocery stores. Eating out all the time over there is also very expensive. When you have access to a full kitchen, you learn to take advantage of it! Our food was still frozen when we got there (we used the techi ice) and it was about 12-13 hours door to door!

we also be usin' the 24 pack cooler....with techni ice. Our choice in doing so is that we have 2 young kids and they are usually toast by the time dinner rolls around. So we are either stuck getting "kid food" all around for dinners...or I send the hubbie out in hunt for some grown up take out. So I got some gooooood steaks and such this time around and 5 nights that vacation we grilled some good food and sat out on our balcony after the kids passed out and had a quiet dinner overlooking the water.
We did save money, but no worries...we spent it on other things on the island!
