Summer Wind villa?

Post by Need2GetAway »

Still trying to find a villa - availability is tight!

Anybody have opinions on Summer Wind rented through CaribbeanVilla.com? She described it as "not luxurious." LOL. I'm curious about:

views
cleanliness
privacy!

Any thoughts you might have.

THANKS!

We've stayed at Summerwind twice and really liked the house. It's super clean but not fancy. It was a nice sized pool and a hot tub. The masterbedroom is huge with a large bathroom and an indoor and out outdoor shower and a huge closet area.

The two bedrooms below the master are 1/2 that size but both very adequate with nice bathrooms and a nice amount of storage. All 3 of these bedrooms are King beds (the listing says bedrooms #2 & 3 are queens but they are actually kings). The 4th bedroom is very small (double bed I think) with a very small bath and the laundry area is off this bedroom. This bedroom does not have a closet.

We loved this location and the road is paved to the house and no scary driveway.

The house is very private but there is a house above it so you may hear voices but they can't see you and you can't see them.

Thanks Diana. I can't tell from the floor map (or lack there of) but how do the rooms flow? Is the LR on the same level (more or less) as the pool? Where's the MR in relation? There are only 2 of us. Thanks again.

The greatroom (kitchen, livingroom, 1/2 bath and covered verahdah are all on the same level as the pool). The level is one flight of stairs down from the parking area. A short flight of stairs down to the south of the pool is the masterbedroom. In the pictures you can see the roof of the master beside the pool. Another short flight of stairs brings you to the 4th bedroom located under the greatroom and another short flight of stair takes you to bedrooms 2 and 3 under the master. I hope that makes sense. The house is basically two 2-story buildings that sit side next to each other (sort of) and connected by decks and stairways.

We stayed at Summer Wind when it was brand new and called Casa Phillips... I reviewed it here in the Villa Review section. If it's still in the same condition, I would rent it again.. it was a great house.
