My First Trip Report!!
So I just got in last night from 8 glorious days in STT and I've got the post vacation blues. What a better way to help heal the pain then to relive the whole thing by posting a trip report!
Back ground: My parents have been vacationing on STT for 20years. When we were little they were nice enough to bring all four of us kids on 2 of their trips down, fueling our love for the islands. They loved the island so much that 9 years ago, they bought a villa on Sapphire Beach establishing that this was our family vacation home. This was my 10th trip to the islands.
The Motley Crew: This was a very large family vacation. My parents and younger brother were down for 2 weeks total with various family members coming down and leaving during this time. First down was my uncle, his wife and three college age boys. Myself, my sister, my husband, and his brother(a newbie) were next down. Then my older sister, her husband, and daughter came down on Friday. We all didn't stay the same duations, but overlapped a few days w/ each other. You may ask how did all those people stay in one little villa? We didn't we would've killed eachother. My parents actually have a few friends who own villas as well and they all trade time with eachother for events like these.
On to the report:
Sunday August 8th-Travel day Up at 4:30 to drive to beantown for our 9 am flight. Got to San Juan without ay issues, then on to STT, landed at 3:30, dependable picked us up and we were on our way. Stopped at the food center to pick up staples of water and booze and off to Sapphire to unpack. We had our ritual of going to Island Time Pub for our fist rum punches and pizza. We made it an early night as the next day we had a boat trip planned to the bvi on the pirates penny.[/list]
