Centrally located, great views!, a lot of it is in Timeshares and will have cooking units- and there are hotel rooms too- but I think the accommodations are fine - big facility so I would think you could find someplace comfortable - nice pool and onsite restaurants - easy to get downtown and out and about, well run overall, not 5 star.

EZ-
Thanks for the review.
We're hoping to do some cooking at the "unit" to save a buck or two, as we're trying to pull this off last minute. Found some reasonable airfares, so hope fully I'll be able to convince the little lady.
Thanks, and
Smiles-

Wow Mahojim...Last I heard you were going to either Niagara Falls or Busch Gardens! How'd you pull this off? Me thinks your better half loves you lots :)
Have fun you guys.

We stayed at Bluebeard's Castle July 17-24. It was out 3rd visit there. They are in the middle of a huge remodel project. The lobby building is closed and it takes a bit of a walk to get to the temporary front desk. Most of the units have been updated. The pool is in great shape. The restaurants were all open and yummy. We were in the Pirate's Pension section overlooking the harbor and it was wonderful. Rooms were huge and kitchen was nice. The Villas II section has nice rooms and full kitchens also. This resort has gotten negative press (rightly so) in the past few years. A new management company is on board and things have definitely changed for the better. The staff were super. :D It is not a 5 star hotel. It is a nice, old, Carribean timeshare and we love it there. Felt very safe.

Now this I know about. We've owned at Bluebeards since 1999. It has indeed, gone down hill since then but they are working hard to bring it back up to what it was or should be. It definitely it not a 5 star hotel but there is something about it that we love and keep coming back for. The view is awesome and the close proximty to town is very convenient. Room with A View and The Banana Tree are two of the best restaurants on the whole island and they are right there. You don't have to drive anywhere. The pool is great and its fun to watch the cruise ships come and go. The Hilltop Villas face town and Pirates Pension faces the cruise ship dock. It has so much charm!!
