North Shore Villa ID Questions

Post by PA Girl »

Last month, I saw two structures that are unfamilar to me.

All pictures were taken from Caneel's Hawknest Beach.

Who knows the names or has info of these structures?

Sorry for the goofy bubble, I didn't know how to flip it.

Hawksnest and Hawksview are located to the right. The mystery building has a red roof and looks to be close to the road.

Again Hawksnest and Hawksview are visible.

A closer look

PA girl-- don't have any info on the structure but I know that I have watch that place from Jumbie for years (It looks liek the same place anyway-- it's pretty unique looking).

Last summer it looked like there was scaffolding still around it as if it was still under construction or something was being done to it (IIRC).

Never have figured out whose place that is or the status.

Maybe someone like Hugo has the answer?

Photo #2:

That is a house that is under construction and next to Sago Palms. I stayed at Sago 2 years ago and that house next to it had just gotten the first floor cement poured. It has been under construction for many years and it's still not done. Unfortunately for Sago, this new monstrosity will dwarf it. It will have 2 pools and 6 bedrooms, from what I understand. Sago Palms was a great place to stay and I hope privacy will not be hindered as they do have some tall trees between the two houses, but that new one is being built so tall. Oh well.

It is hard to tell for sure from your photos, but I think the structure in photo #1 is restored ruins that are on the grounds of Hawksnest Estate.

Again, not 100% certain, but I believe the structure in photo #2 is a villa that has been under construction for a number of years. It is not finished and is located next door to Sago Palms.

Thought I had a wider angle shot of similar, but this is all I have. Probably doesnt help much, but which big villa is that near center right?

The large estate you refer to is Hawksview Estate.

Photo #1:
The small building you pointed to is probably the gate house to Hawksview Estate. It is near the road and part of the driveway to the estate. I've walked beside of it from my hikes from Sago Palms to Denis Beach. Hawksview is a beautifully designed place.

Sunnyledge is on Francis and has a very distinct red roof. The elevation is about right, but wrong bay. :)

Muhaha-- as usual you are correct! The location on the hillside made it look familiar.
