vacation home for rent

Post by Terry »

We're looking to rent a vacation home for a week next June for another family reunion. We've researched Siesta Key, FL but found that Florida homes do not have enough bedrooms, usually. Lake Tahoe...wow on the price. North Carolina...again not enough bedrooms. Would prefer water. Need 5-6 bedrooms at least 3 bathrooms. Seattle, Oregon, northern California??? Anyone have ideas on this?

Don't want to pay more than $3,000 for a week. If the price gets up there, then it's cheaper to take a cruise and a house just is better for this group.

Any ideas would be helpful.

Check out St. George Island on the Florida panhandle. A lot of beach rentals, many of them have enough rooms to handle a crowd.

You should check out Cape San Blas in Florida - near St. George (where Augie recommends). It's mainly houses to rent (very few condos) so lots to choose from.

Try Santa Barbara! Mary Beth did a little research on Santa Barbara and found some really nice places to rent. Also check the Montecito area...a little pricey but not too bad if you're splitting it.

Or how about Bend, Oregon? Sweet little town! :D

We go to St. George Island (SGI) every year in Sept. Don't go, you'll hate it!!

Seriously, it is a wonderful place...

Here are a couple of websites to look at houses for rent:

Also, try vrbo dot com

My nephew and his family go to Cape San Blas every year, we've not been, but they love it. They have kids and it works well for them.

Enjoy wherever you choose to go. :)
