Which of these 2 vehicles?

Post by Tim from Chicagoland »

I have a choice between a Grand Vitara & a 4 door Wrangler. Both 4 wheel drive. Which one is more comfortable? Handling on wet roads, hills?

Vitara is probably cheaper, no?
Do the old "Visual inspection", including tires, spare, wipers, etc..., and go from there.
Some of the best vacations I've had on STJ involved me not even remembering what kind of car we rented anyway! It's getting to the beach & home,- that's about it!
Usually newer vehicles, well worth the price. Peace of mind is priceless.
Then again, if you always wanted to own a 4 door Wrangler, and you have a few extra bucks to spend, why not take a test drive on STJ for a week?
Live the dream!!!
Good luck!
Smiles-

We're renting a 4 dr Wrangler in August for that exact reason- have loved those for a while and want to try one out. We've always rented the old 2dr versions in the past. If you get the 4 dr- would love to hear what you think.

Wranglers are not known for their comfort but it's not a bad ride.(It's my ride at home.) We rented them last November and were very happy with them. We had the driveway from hell and these cars handled them great (tires off the ground). The Wrangler is a bit smaller than the Vitara I believe. I'd go with the jeep. Ali~
