Weather in August

For anyone who lives there...or has spent time there..what is the weather usually like for August...I can imagine its Hot..but..lots of rain...no rain...Avg temp? Those sort of things...

We went in august of '08 and our biggest issue was a crazy amount of mosquitos. Apparently it had rained about 2 weeks prior and they were out in force.

It was cooler in STJ in August than it is in VA so that wasn't an issue. We only got rain at night, also not an issue.

St. John anytime of year beats just about anywhere else!

we've been the 1st week of September, went the last week of August last year and will be going the last week of August this year. We've been lucky with very little rain, the typical shower here and there but thats about it. Weve been lucky enough to ward off hurricanes, thats always the biggest concern. Water is warm, days can be very humid, and hot no doubt. AC is a must for us this time of year (not sure how people use the hot tubs this time of year ) I would say avg. temps run at least low 90's (at least it feels like that). With all that said its never an issue, St. John is paradise!
