What is the cheapest you've done STJ staying in a villa?

Working on a trip for 2 couples late April/early May. Who's got the best experience doing this?

So far Delta SkyMiles is helping out, what else you frequent STJ'ers got?

Campgrounds are out...wife won't allow it. Don't ask!

They are real cheap (100/night) and they have fantastic views, a kitchen, sleep areas. The longest hot shower you can take on St John I think.

FF=Frequent flyer tickets. I have a friend that owns a villa and he broke his leg and couldn't go down to get ready for the season so I went worked a couple of hours in the mornings and had the rest of the time to do what I wanted

the eco-tents are great if 1. you get one with a breeze when it's really hot out or 2. it's not extremely hot/humid out. My first trip was in the eco-tents and I got a tent (one of the P's) with a breeze. It was awesome. My most recent trip at the beginning of June was one with almost no breeze (E6), and it also happened to be really hot/humid. This trip was way more like camping because we couldn't really stay in our tent to relax. The mosquitos on this trip were worse as well so we woke up with new bites every morning. Air conditioning never felt so good.

But I agree with the cost to awesomeness ratio in the eco-tents. The views and solitude are amazing. Even though it was hot/humid, I enjoyed seeing the stars out the window every night and the view at sunrise every morning.

Another option at Concordia is the new studios they built. It looks like they're positioned nicely to get a breeze and they have the same great views. I'd definitely stay there as an alternate to the eco-tents, but their pricing puts them in competition with some of the cheaper villas.

Check out Serendip condos too. Some of the one bedrooms have futons/sleeper sofas in the livingroom area if you need to go really cheap. One of them looks like there is a curtain that can close off the futon area for a little more privacy.

We stayed at Cruz Views 7 for $130/night. Very comfortable 1 bedroom apartment for saving money.
Not a Villa, but has all of the basics including a resident cat.

The cheapest place I've stayed is Sailview in Coral Bay. Not a complete Villa, but two separate guest suites with a large deck and cooking area. 750/week. Everything is new, clean, great owners and in my opinion great for two couples. We didn't think the road up was bad at all. We stayed there with another couple once and by ourselves once. The run into the driveway isn't great, but we never had any problem. We always spend too much money hitting the restaurants for food and drink even when we choose a more affordable lodging option!

Couple years back, thru EBay, got a week at one of the 3-bedroom timeshares at the Westin for about $1200 including tax, including full access to the Westin facilities. The following year, my daughter surprised us for our anniversary by snagging the same villa, again via EBay, for $1400. On both occasions, we had lots of "company."

Granted, deals like these require alot of research, but they can be found.

BTW, Morgan Point is a great villa for 2 couples, and reasonably priced.

Four people, two bedrooms, no Jeep and stay in Cruz Bay. We've done less than $2K and got an additional discount by offering to pay in cash on arrival.

Cruz Views Unit 1 for about $100/night. But this kitty is used to us bringing him real cat food. I don't think he has to eat too many tarantulas or lizards!
He finds your email address and emails you which flavors he prefers....and is sitting there waiting when you arrive.
Unpack the cat food first!
