kauai picture report: Day 4 and 5
Sunday June 6th: Queen’s Bath and Anini beach then relaxing at our pool with the iPad.
Early in the morning we went to the Queen's Bath.

There were turtles everywhere

we rinsed off after leaving Queen's bath at the waterfall

The trail to the Queen's bath:

A very serious warning before getting to the Queen's Path:

Anini Beach:

our pool at Pu'u Po'a

Monday June 7th: SCUBA with Fathom 5 at Tunnels on North Shore

Oh Coden, I hope so!!
GiGi: my family discussed which beach was our favorite and hands down it is Tunnels. AMAZING!! Ke'e is nice too. But the sand was amazingingly HOT. After we made our way to a shade tree we sat in our beach chairs and enjoyed watching all the new comers try to make their way. I don't feel bad for doing this either--I am sure people giggled at us from their beach chairs too!
We did see the kite surfers at Tunnels--but not until we were packing up to leave. If I remember right we saw them at Anini too. Something I haven't seen before is people paddleboarding. we saw it everywhere. It looked really fun. Has anyone tried it??

I wondered if anyone would notice, Sailorgirl. I forgot to edit the title of my first group of photos but it was really day 1, 2, and 3! I have changed it now.
Did you see the Queen's Bath tally rock?

I know! I read your trip reports before we left. I actually mentioned you while we were there. I wondered where you stayed that you went to Tunnels every day. You must have rented a house?sea-nile wrote:That brings back such great memories! We stayed across the street from Tunnels and I did my SCUBA cert dives there.
Great pictures!
This was our first ocean dive. It was SO COOL! Did you use fathom five?? Our guide was Linda and I saw another group with a yummy guide! AND he saw me fall over a stump with my tank on. It was really a fantastic moment. pffffttt!!

we rented a house through VRBO. It was great! I can't even remember the scuba shop I went through. It was a really small one (they all are) and it wasn't open when I went by there. I had to call the guy and wake him up. The nice thing was that he met us at Tunnels and I just walked across the street for the dives. We snorkeled there a lot too. I love it there. It is still second to STJ for me though but I want to go back.

Ok, ok, I am done. After getting chewed a little bit on tripadvisor I panicked a little bit knowing you are going. They got me really nervous before the trip about going to Queen's Bath at all. Then once I got there I really thought it was overkill.sailorgirl wrote: But heck I ride the subway everyday... hiow much more dangerous could it beSeriously I want to see it but I will be very cautious.
Take a look at that website I mentioned on tripadvisor. There are a lot of other links there, in addition, to directions to get to Queen's Bath.
