FISH BAY area ?
Has anyone stayed in a villa on Fish Bay? I am totally unfamiliar with this area. I suppose a down side would be that it is a longer drive to the north shore beaches. How are the beaches on this side of the islands? I've located a few new and very reasonably priced villas. Hope to hear from the regulars...
Many thanks,

For folks that love the North Share beaches, Fish Bay is the other end of the world. So just count on some extra driving. The beaches are a bit more rocky and some harder to get to. Klein has a small parking area for 2-3 cars, and the beach is rocky. From a parking spot on the road there's a short and steep trail to Fish Bay - it's wide open with an off-the-grid feeling. Dittlif has a beautiful sandy beach with trees for shade, but you'll have to park on the road by the entrance and walk a couple hundred yards to the beach on the right. Hart Bay has a couple of trails, but you have to know where to look. You need to be REALLY committed to drive to Little Lameshur...
We stayed at Sol Inclination and have looked into Daffodil Villa.

Fish Bay
Fish Bay villas are about 10 minutes from Cruz Bay and 20 minutes from the first of the north shore beaches. It offers scenic views and peace and quiet. There are beaches (Ditleff Point, Kline Bay, etc.) but there are not alot of sand areas and they require access via park/walk. They are good snorkeling locations. If you like hiking, there are several excellent trails accessible.
We stayed in the Fish Bay area twice at Sea Blossom and really liked the villa, except we had issues with bugs and noseeums, especially at night so we switched to Coral Bay side of the island where the breezes are more prevalent. It's not much of a drive to any of the beaches anywhere on the island - come on it's only 9 miles or so from one end to the other!!!
We'll be staying on fish bay this week when we head down. I will let you know how we like it. We're kinda looking forward to staying in a different location other than Cruz Bay. I want to check out some of those out of the way south shore beaches. I was a bit concerned about the drive too but hey, its vacation....no problem.
