Villa Andrea
Does anyone know if the door at the top of the stairs leading to the entertainment area below has a door that can be shut ( for safety with little children)?

No it does not. It is a great villa. I stayed there last month. But it is not kid friendly if that is what you are asking. Very slick tile everywhere and the inside stairs have a very sharp edge on the stair edge that was never polished. If you have anymore questions please pm me because I don't want to hurt the owner. He's a good guy.
Any chance one of you folks that stayed there could either do a villa review or (even better) include some villa details and pictures in a trip report?
I've had some inquiries from folks that knew some of my friends planned to stay there, wondering if it would be a good fit for them.

Review of Villa Andrea
General:
We spent a week at this lovely villa last month.
This is a beautiful new villa in the Virgin Grand area.
The villa has lots of room for four couples to spread out & not feel that you are on top of each other.
The views look out over the top of the Westin & over to St Thomas.
Location is very close to Cruz Bay yet allows you easy access to head to Coral Bay.
Pros:
Fully air conditioned.
Parking for 3-4 vehicles.
4 equal large bedrooms each with its own bathroom. Two on the main level & two on the lower level. No having to flip a coin for who gets what.
Bathrooms had double sinks, large showers, and a walk in closet.
Good size pool deck off the main living area.
Nice big roomier kitchen, living room & dinning room area.
Seating for 8 in the dinning area as well as a few more at the kitchen bar.
Laundry facilities.
The pool is of ample size with an amazing view out over Great Cruz Bay.
Lounges by the pool as well as a table and chairs on the upper deck.
Floats for lounging in the pool.
Big BBQ (Grill)
2 Flat screen TVs, one up & one down as well as a sound system and WiFi.
Covered deck on the lower level.
Cons:
There were not enough coolers, beach chairs or beach towels when we arrived, but a quick call to the rental company & the villa owner was right there with the requested items.
Steps to the lower level and the floors in general can be slippery with damp feet.
Some of the final trimming seamed to be rushed to get finished taking away some of its beauty. Upper deck awning and lower level wet bar were roughed in and left at that.
There are a few plumbing and mechanical issues that need some attention.
Comments:
As this is a new villa, the furnishing that are there are all very tasteful, we felt overall the villa was a little sparsely furnished, a little more attention like wall decorations is needed to make the villa feel a little more homey.
The downstairs of the villa is furnished with 2 couches & a Flat Screen TV, as well as a pool table. It was damper on this level. Perhaps a few more furnishings would help as well as a patio set to allow for more use of this lower deck in the sunny times of the day or when mother nature decides to visit. We would not hesitate to rent this villa again.
