The learning curve of gratitude

Post by Gromit »

A friend of mine posted a link to this NPR story on her FB page and I'm stealing it to share with you.

I have long been a fan of Mary Chapin Carpenter and was shocked to read this story she posted back in 2007.

It's a lesson I think we can all take to heart...

Thanks for sharing Gromit - loved the article. Often times we are so worried about next week and next month that we don't enjoy the day!

Gromit, Great link. Most days I look back and say to myself, "It was a good day in the life."
As to Chapin Carpenter, before she hooked up with John Jennings and got big in Nashville, she played regularly at a place that used to be called Gallaghers on Conn. Avenue. She played much more of a folk sound, less Nashville G-C-D country twang that she later developed. She mostly sat on a stool, guitar in hand, and cigarettes seemingly always burning.I hope that she's OK.

Thanks for the link to such a meaningful story, Gromit.

JT, how wonderful if each day, each of us could look back and say to ourselves, "It was a good day in the life.". Wouldn't the world be better? Thanks for the inspiration.

Such a timely message Gromit. We all need to be grateful for each day, for the people in our lives and our health. In the end, it's really all that matters.
