I would check your reservations weekly for now and the daily for the 2 weeks prior to your departure. Even though it isn't until October. We had tickets last year through NWA and the merge with Delta jacked everything around 
I had to call them when I saw the changes(NUMEROUS,BIG changes) because they didn't contact me. They merges MONTHS beforeour vacation. It was very stressful and I ended up changing our airport 3 times and still ended up having to stay over night in ATL on the return trip. We were supposed to make it home the day we left. Just be diligent about checking your reservations.
