General Store at Cinnamon Bay

Post by jofus »

Does anyone have any info or opinions about the general store at Cinnamon Bay Camp Ground. Are their prices and selections of goods and food decent or should I plan at stocking up at Starfish? The list of items they have on their website seem to be more than enough but is the quality decent and they have no prices listed for anything. Thanks

It's like a small gas station. That's what you can use as a reference as far as selection. Some fruit and lucnhemat and some frozen stuff too. We were starved and my husband found a nice snack of a can of Chef Boyardee Lasagna and a Presidente Beer. I opted for a melted package of cherry flavored Laffy Taffy. We thought it was so funny that we took a picture of it!

Actually, the store there isn't too bad! We stayed there a couple of years ago with 2 small kids. Oh....we got there late and it was closed. The lady at the desk opened it up for us to get some stuff for the kids and we paid them in the morning! How's that for hospitality? We were impressed. you don't want to stock up on tooooo much at starfish. You might have a small fridge or a cooler...but you will find that bread or other dry goods get stale there very easily. Also...teeny tiny bugs are everywhere! The prices at the store aren't too off from the markets too. Plus, there is a restaurant there. We did a little of both....some general store, some market. Fun trip!

I have to agree with the gas station comment. IMO you're better off going to a market in Cruz Bay for "food" but the Cinnamon Bay store will suffice for ice, drinks, and "treats" (ie: junk food).

Ha ha, welcome to my world. I believe a 12 pack of beer is $24 plus tax up here.
