Heading home today......

Post by surfnh »

but we had a great week....the weather was probably the best we've ever had here, just sunny, warm, and hardly any bugs. Beaches weren't too rough, just alot of snorkeling, beaching, rum drinking, exploring, and sleeping...and starting all over each day!

Thought I'd leave you all with a celebration photo before we blow out of the villa.

To all of you waiting to come for your next trip here, get psyched! And, to anyone trying to figure out if they should visit STJ, just take the leap of faith!!! :D

That is one great picture!
(Had to blink three times to make sure my son hadn't traveled with you.)
It was fun following your days. Thanks! Have a safe trip home.

back home to dry beds and the usual cleanup after the trip, miss it already!

thanks for the pic feedback, we loved that one too. We have like a 1000 pics or so, I guess my better half (STJdreams) will make a trip report but the pics are usually the best part of the report, so it might be more pics and less verbal, we'll see....we have alot of great pics for sure.

We did have some camera issues, but luckily we brought 3 of them with us.....our Olympus Stylus Tough 8000 kind of died on us, luckily not until after our charter to BVI! :) It got some foggyness in the viewfinder, somehow the seal is failing. Well, we beat the crap out of that camera, it made it through two STJ vacations and a P.R surf vacation mostly all underwater, plus a summer of beach time in NH, so can't complain too much. Its out of warranty, we'll probably wait until next trip and get the most up to date new version a few weeks before, price will be probably alot less, I guess we better get the extended warranty next time!

So, by the time we took that picture my photog wife ripped out her Nikon D80 SLR to have some fun with at Trunk....it's like going from a Pinto to a Porsche! The Nikon can do continuous high speed pics of movement, lots of fun to play with.

Now looking back at that pic, its hard to believe it was only 48 hrs ago! This is the bummer of STJ, 1 week is definitely not enough, 2 weeks would be better for sure.

Awesome picture! This is the second time I opened your thread and the first time, the picture wouldn't open - so happy I tried again.

Welcome home to reality! Two weeks is definitely better, but one is better than none! :D

We saw your group taking that picture! We were about three tree alcoves down to your right. It was a great day at Trunk, wasn't it?
It's like looking in your soup and finding a whole different alphabet.

yep, it was an incredible afternoon at Trunk, hated to leave for sure. Sorry we missed you. :(

On the way out we saw a wedding, here's a pic of the bride!
