Name my travel agency

Post by arenee »

Hi All,
I have spent the last 16 years working for a very large travel agency in the Twin Cities. Three days before Christmas they closed the doors. To make a long story short while the agency was successful, the money managers of the company weren't. I am in the process of trying to open my own agency and cannot come up with a name. You are all such a creative group I thought I would ask for your help. We will be a full service travel agency so the name can't be specific to the VI's or any other destination. Can you offer me suggestions? There is a website you can check to see if the domain is available http://instantdomainsearch.com/

I would appreciate any and all ideas you have!!!

I had my own outside sales agency and just named it..."Terry's Travel". Not sure what your real name is but you might want to use part of it. It sticks with folks.

Other ideas are:

ParadisePrize
Travel for All Needs
Where Do You Want to Travel? (or GO)
Why Hire a Travel Agent?

Currently these don't seem to be taken.

Time and Place Travel

I liked All Places Travel but it has been taken.

Also like Going Places Travel

I'm simple, not creative.
Good luck!

I'm surprised that Going Places Travel isn't taken. That is the travel agencies name that I last worked for. Surprised she didn't register it.

Seems like Twin City Travel would be the logical choice. No?
A mind is like a parachute. It only works when it's open.

"Great Escapes Travel Agency"

I'm terrible at this stuff. Good luck!!

You may want to try doing a quick branding exercise to come up with a name that works harder for you (rather than a generic name that people won't remember).

What is the basic main 'angle' of your new agency?

• Convenience? A 'we-do-everything-for-you' kind of thing?

• Price? (i.e. 'We find the best deals'?)

• Luxury/super-personalized service?

• Local? (i.e "I'm-your-friendly-neighborhood agent")

Once you nail down the main personality of your company, you'll find it a bit easier to brainstorm names.

Good advice Lark.

Iprof; great names!

arebee: normally I book myself but I am interested in using a travel agent to help me with ideas, who has experience to keep me from making a mistake with a destination or resort . . . that said . . . I have HONESTLY learned to listen to the OT forum!!
