Another good iPhone iPod Touch app for travel

Post by Margy Z »

I just tried the free GateGuru - pretty sweet. By airport, it gives you food, shops, services by terminal and/or concourse. I like that it has a rating system and easily indicates which things are going to be on the other side of security. Should come in handy for connections.

That app sounds great... just Saturday, I recieved an email "I'm still at DCA, if you have time, could you look and see if that BBQ place is still at CLT and what terminal it's in ????"  Thanks for sharing the information.

TripIt.com is a pretty sweet site as well. Forward your confirmation emails, it peels off the pertinent information and keeps it all in one place for future reference. You can then add items for places you'd like to visit, eat, museums etc including days/hours of operation, addresses, phone numbers so you don't have to go surfing for it when you're at your destination and can't remember.
