Screech Owl

Post by Joppa »

This Screech Owl has been hanging out in a neighboring community for a month or so now. Isn't he Beautiful?!!

They are common in this area, but it is somewhat unusual to see them, and especially this close to the ground. He is about 10ft off the ground. Normally they would be about 20 or 30 ft up. I just think he's soooo beautiful.

Owls are so cool....I collected owl figurines when I was a kid...Awesome pictures!! And the best thing is they'll take care of your field mice problem if you have any.

Screech owls are often heard here, but rarely seen. Your pics are terrific... the owl reminds me of a mad yellow striped cat. Thanks for sharing with us.

What great pictures! I love owls, although the first time I heard one while camping was scary. Thanks for sharing.
