The only building coming down was the Texaco Station, actually one of the older buildings in Cruz Bay at this point. The stone building is Don Schnell's Amore Building, relatively recent, and it will stay there.
That roundabout will be nice once everyone gets used to it. Looks to be coming along nicely, that intersection was a little confusing before. Allthough I can see many tourist being baffled by it at first.
Main problems so far are locals: either stopping in the round-about to let off passengers--quickly shutting down the whole system--or else politely letting people in rather than zooming on through, which snarls things to a degree as well. Both those actions are traditional, of course...
I see that in the month and a half that I've been back not much progress has been made.
The roundabout was actually easy to negotiate. I had no problems. Which for me, was a miracle!
