we stayed at cinnamon bay
I am going to try to share my trip with all of you. I really can't imagine writing a trip report like some I have seen here. Instead I will start with this thread and than post some others as time permits.
We started our 15 day trip with 8 nights at Cinnamon Bay in one of there tents.
We really liked it a lot. We met some great people there and learned the in's and out's of the campground from them. The staff didn't give you much info at all when you check in.
We learned that a lot of people get bare sites and stay for 30 days(the limit). These are mostly retirees. I could see myself doing this. They have it all figured out and some of these people have amazing set ups. The one problem for me is COLD showers. I packed a solar shower but a few days were overcast and it didn't get very warm. I really like a HOT shower.
I am now going to try to post some pic's and hope this works how I expect.

Joppa, I'm looking forward to more of your trip report.
I've stayed at Cinnamaon twice for 2 weeks each trip. I too enjoyed chatting up the people that go year-after-year-after-year. I have met people who have been camping at Cinnamon yearly for more than a decade. They have the provisioning down to a fine science. I also like that some of them have made it a tradition of "same place, same time, next year" and have formed a "family" of sorts with others who show up at the same place, same time, next year. I hope to become one of those people one of these years.

I think I may have the size issue figured out. I just looked at what I posted again and realized I had posted the same picture twice,ooops...
Bubblybrenda, the people really do have it all figured out. One woman we met said she had been camping there for 30 years, another couple 14 years. Like you said they come every year at the same time and have made friends with others.
I have more pictures and some stories and observations so do stay tuned...
