Hi everyone -
Thanks for the PMs and emails about the spammers - please do continue to let me know, and also let me know who the user/s is/are. Unfortunately we seem to have a rash of PM spam - people who sign up and then just PM but don't post. We are using reCAPTCHA on the registration form - a fairly sophisticated and state of the art solution for Spam (Craigs List and Facebook use it) but as long as we let people self activate it is pretty hard to stop spammers completely. The other option is to hand activate, but the down side to that is that it really cuts out the amount of new users who sign up. I am sorry I can't monitor the forums 24/7 - we do have some help, but there is a bit of a hole in the clock late nights and at times when I am out of the office etc.
