One Carry On Bag

Post by Rob7 »

As someone who has traveled all over the world with just one carry-on, I am a big advocate. Delta Airlines has come up with some suggestions.....YES...it can be done (especially to STJ) :D

We got this guy beat, we get two peeps in one carry on. We take another and a bookbag for food though. It cracks me up when I see how much stuff some people bring down for a vacation to St John.

Yep, same for us - we do a single carryon wheeled suitcase and a snorkel bag. I'll probably start using the polar bear cooler as a carryon since the last couple of villa coolers have sucked big time. We can definitely get all of our stuff in the large polar bear.

Cheers, RickG

When packing to camp on Saint John I'm having a much harder time.

Tent, sleeping bag/sheet, water bladders, cooler, day pack, towel, snorkel gear, .... it adds up quick.

I keep telling myself 'only the essentials' - but what I think is essential varies day to day. The list keeps growing and I still have over a month until my trip.

Any suggestions for keeping gear to a minimum while camping are welcome.

Hey RickG, I know what you mean about crappy coolers. I have had to purchase a couple while I was down there....can you say "expensive!" Then I just had to leave them for the next guests. I read about everyone using the Polar Bear coolers. Which one do you use? It appears the 12 pk model would be the most logical for a carry-on.
