A St John Icon leaving Island

Post by Captain John »

I don't know how to post his picture here but anyone who has visited Woody's or The Beach Bar would recognize him. I put his picture on my facebook page.

Jimmy is being reunited with his family in the States after having no contact for over 40 years. Through the exhaustive efforts of some very kind people here on St John he is leaving St John Monday to start his new life. Bye Jimmy

Lots of memories of Jim for me too.
Had a beer with him at BB last November.
Smiles, Jimmy!

We will definately miss Jimmy at the BB and Woody's.

Good luck to Jimmy!

Where do I fill out the application to rake the beach?

We saw Jimmy every day at The Beach Bar, and thankfully they took very good care of him. I hope when he's reunited he gets the help he needs. He had some very interesting conversations back in May - all by himself.

Yep, always an interesting conversation with Mr. Jimmy. It's a hard place to grow old on your own... who's going to run ice now for the BB?
