Cactus on the Blue

Anyone eaten there yet? How was it? Anything that is a "must order"? Anxious to give it a try at the end of January.

We ate there twice in December and enjoyed our meals!

We had the Enchiladas!

check to see if they are still "cash only."

I ate there a couple of weeks ago and it was mmmmmm good. I was passing by actually and saw them having a Texas style tailgate party for the UT game and I just couldn't refuse. The owner is from San Antonio (where I live) where his family has owned a mexican restaurant for 60 years or something like that. I love Tex Mex and this was really good! Their ingredients were really fresh. They took credit cards there a couple of weeks ago. Here's a really bad iphone pic of my spinach mushroom enchiladas.

Highly recommended! My family and I have on three occasions had the following with rating:

Nachos A
Seafood cerviche A+
crab cakes A
Spinach salad w/Fried Goat cheese A+
Enchilada sampler plate A
Lone Star shrimp A

I don't believe you will be disappointed.

I agree, just eh OK... My least favorite meal of all on the island.

Not much flavor, two kinds of rice and neither was very good. Margaritas were just okay.

I think they have potential but need focus. I love the location but not much of an island vibe in the service.

Sorry...

We ate there twice in December- here's an excerpt from my notes:
Cactus in the Blue for dinner tonight, yummm again, great dinner, drinks, apps and heaping portions with leftovers boxed for villa munching later, all dishes were beautifully presented- and it costs less than lunch at M. Phils!    Lovely atmosphere, great service, I hope they do well, they seem like they have it together. Only complaint - no desserts on the menu yet.

It is in the location that formerly housed The Stone Terrace. It is across the street from the Beach Bar, next to Banana Deck. (Cruz Bay)
Wisconsin, smell the dairy air
