Construction Update in Chocolate Hole?

Post by alw1977 »

Maybe I missed it, but I haven't heard anyone talk about the state of the Pond Bay development in a while. I recall a few members stayed in the area when the ground-breaking happened, and they advised avoiding Chocolate Hole for the short-to-medium term. How is the project currently progressing?

Luckily, it appears we have a return date for 2010. Not so luckily, it's in September (due to brother-in-law's vacay schedule). Ah well, we'll bring our own party. At least the villas will be inexpensive and parking plentiful!

Pia - does the rumor mill say this is because sales are low (ie, the money is gone and banks won't advance any more towards construction?). I was so puzzled about how and why that project even broke ground. Terrible timing.

On St. John posted a "jeep-cam" of a drive around the Pond Bay development. You can't tell much about the progress, but if you're missing those roads...
